Dorothy Elizabeth (Darrell) Reeves

          Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Darrell Reeves, 94, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling, KY.

          Mrs. Reeves was born February 4, 1924 at Clear Creek in Bath County, a daughter of the late Horton and Grace Hunt Darrell. She was a retired employee of Cowden Mfg. and a member of the Salt Lick First Church Of God.

          Survivors include 2 daughters, Sheila Maze of Mount Sterling, KY and Nola Jean (Eldred “Tiny”) McFarland of Salt Lick, KY, 1 son, Rick (Brenda) Adams of Crestview, FL, 1 step-daughter, Jan (Starky) Ray of Mount Sterling, KY, 1 step-son, Jimmy Russell (Connie) Reeves of Salt Lick, KY, 7 grandchildren, Rob McFarland, Jeana Manley, Brandon Maze, Rick Adams, Jr., Jeanette Aley, Justin Adams and Jason Adams, 5 step-grandchildren, Brent Reeves, Barry Reeves, Michael Ray, Blake Reeves and Tyler Reeves and 11 great-grandchildren.

          Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, James W. “Jimmy” Reeves, 2 sisters, Dexter Crouch and Pauline Ratliff, 2 brothers, Joe Darrell and Dale Darrell and a step-son, Robbie Reeves.

          A celebration of Mrs. Reeves’ life will be held Saturday April 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Salt Lick First Church Of God with family members providing eulogies, Bro. Vernon Lambert  assisting and Bro. Steve Meadows providing  the committal service at Dickerson Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, April 20, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday April 21, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Salt Lick First Church Of God.
