Edward Dell “Eddie” Cornett, 77, of Midland, passed away Monday April 24, 2017 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY. Born July 8, 1939, he was the son of the late Arch David and Eva Peters Cornett. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of the Midland First Church Of God.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Webb Cornett, 2 daughters, Dawn Cornett Alley (Greg) and Amanda Cornett Brooks (Chris), 2 grandsons, Robbie and Brandon Alley and 3 brothers, Alford, Glenn and Layton Cornett and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Cornett, 3 sisters, Ruth Cornett, Lida Crawford, Lois Calhoun and 4 brothers, Edsel, Tony, Charles and Paul Cornett.

Memorial service will be conducted Friday April 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Midland First Church Of God with Bro. Bush Stevenson and Bro. Aaron Conn officiating and special music provided by Bro. Rob Rice. Visitation will be Thursday April 27 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the church. Powell Funeral Home will be caring for arrangements.
