My thoughts and prayers and those of the Owingsville First Church of God are with the Richard McNabb Family through this time of grief and loss. Richard was absolutely one of the finest men that I have ever known. He was faithful to God, faithful to the church and faithful to his family. One of my favorite memories of Richard is when I was preaching the Homecoming Service at Salt Lick and when I arrived, Richard was leaving and he shook my hand and said with a big smile, "preacher I'll see you later I've got to go and get the chicken!" I often told him that he gave me the most friendly welcome I ever received at a church; a big smile and a promise of chicken! Memories abound from many people in regard to Richard's life and certainly it was a life that mattered and he will be missed. His passing gives me one more reason to make Heaven my home because he will be there.
