Richard O’Neal McNabb, 85, of Salt Lick, passed away Friday June 2, 2017 at Edgewood Estates in Frenchburg, KY.

          Born May 25, 1932 at Sudith, KY, he was the son of the late Shelby and Amanda Sorrell McNabb. He was a retired mechanic, carpenter and Whirlpool Corp. employee and was also an U.S. Army, Korean War veteran and a member of the Salt Lick First Church Of God.

          Survivors include his wife, Lena K. Blevins McNabb, 1 son, Richard L. McNabb (Sue), 3 daughters, Reba Welch (Rick), Cathy Thomas (Tony) and Susan Anderson (Rev. Jack), 4 sisters, Felcia Patton, Hildred Pugh, Flora Beard and Rosetta Ferrell, 3 brothers, William McNabb, Curtis McNabb and Shelby Gene McNabb, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Reffitt McNabb, 1 sister, Rhoda Brashear and 2 brothers, Wilburn Clay McNabb and Joseph McNabb.

          Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Salt Lick First Church Of God with Bro. Vernon Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery with military honors conducted by Morehead American Legion Post #126.

          Visitation will be Sunday June 4 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Salt Lick First Church Of God.
