Robert N. “Bobby” Pettit, 67, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.

          Born August 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Chrissie and Ruth Williams Pettit. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

          Survivors include a daughter, Trisha Pettit of Morehead, KY, a son, Chris Pettit of Salt Lick, 3 sisters, Helen Black of Morehead, KY, Wanda Earls and Donna Pettit both of Salt Lick, KY, 1 brother, Wayne Pettit of Salt Lick, KY, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

           In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Winona Pettit Curry, a brother, Nelson "Buddy" Pettit and his best friend and the mother of his children, Vickie Manley.

          A memorial gathering of family and friends will be Sunday April 2 at 2:00 PM at Cave Run Lake spillway pavilion. There will be no visitation. Powell Funeral Home of Salt Lick, KY is caring for arrangements.
