Margaret Mildred (Conn) Charles

          Margaret Mildred Conn Charles, of 355 Helton Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Monday January 7, 2019 at her residence at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 18 days.

          Born October 19, 1937 in Bath County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Sherman and Etta Gray Reed Conn. She was a homemaker and of the Church Of God faith.

          Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Charlie Darrel Charles, Sr., 2 daughters, Etta Carol Chapman of Morehead, KY and Deloria Regina Charles Wright of Salt Lick, KY, 2 sons, Charlie Darrel Charles, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Wallingford, KY and Timmy Dale Charles and his wife Barb of Salt Lick, KY, 3 grandchildren, Mary Margaret Denise Charles, Matthew Gilbert Maggard and Montana Marie Charles, 5 sisters, Violet Marie Corey, Phyllis Ann Watts, Erma Frances Skaggs, Shelia Kay Bargo and Rita Fay Hedges, 1 brother, Tommy Loren Conn and several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Brandon Maggard, 2 brothers, Larry Russell Conn and Ricky Lynn Conn, a sister, Deloria Regina Conn, a sister in law, Dorothy Mae Proffitt and brother in law, Ralph Denver Charles, Sr.

          Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 11, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Alfrey Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday January 10, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
