Michael McHale, 72, of 6607 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, KY passed away Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.

          Born August 31, 1944 at Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Leo and Lillian Whipple McHale. He was retired from the US Army and Union Pacific Railroad and was also a US Air Force veteran and a former NASA employee at Cape Canaveral, FL and was a member of the Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church.

          Survivors include his wife, Logene Fish McHale, 3 sons, Michael McHale, Jeff May and James May, 1 sister, Barbara Phillips, 1 brother, Leo McHale, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be conducted Saturday December 17, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 5:00 PM until service time. Interment with military honors will be Monday December 19 at 12:30 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Northeast in Grayson, KY.
