Nancy Nell Cooper Powell, 79, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2016. She was the widow of the late Robert Powell, Sr.

          Born September 5, 1937 at Poplar Plains, she was the daughter of the late Enos L. and Nettie Honea Cooper.

          Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family, she was a retired florist and was a longtime member of the Flemingsburg Christian Church.

          She is survived by her son, Robbie Powell (Myke) of Salt Lick; grandchildren, Robbie Powell, III, Devin Copher, Mykaylee Copher, Sadara Copher, Elias Copher and Joshua Copher-Powell; and great grandson, Greyson Powell. She is also survived by her sisters, Laura Denton of Flemingsburg and Joyce Fischer of Cold Springs; a special niece, Nancy Denton Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Glenn Cooper, Joseph Franklin Cooper, Lawton Cooper and Warner Ray Cooper.

          Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday December 4, 2016 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, 150 West Water St., Flemingsburg, KY, with Rev. Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery in Salt Lick, KY. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Saturday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
