Phyllis Ann (Burton) Downs

          Phyllis Ann Downs, 71, of 260 Spring Hollow Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Friday March 15, 2019 at University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

          Born April 11, 1947 at Salyersville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Smith and Flossie Howard Burton and was a homemaker and member of the Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church.

          Survivors include her husband, Ronald Downs, 2 sons, Lakin Downs and wife Kiara of Owingsville, KY and Mylon Downs and wife April of Jeffersonville, KY, 6 daughters, Melissa Moyer and husband Brett of Mt. Sterling, KY, Rachel Maze and husband Keith of Owingsville, KY, Mona Anderson and husband Brian of Salt Lick, KY, Ann Downs of Winchester, KY, Ausundra Downs of Winchester, KY and Sarah Downs and fiancée Russell Purvis of Salt Lick, KY, 1 sister, Nora Montgomery of Mt. Sterling, KY, 1 brother, Forest Burton and wife Elizabeth of Owingsville, KY, 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Sandy Hardin of Salt Lick, KY.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Destany Rose Downs, a sister, Wilma Jean Rice, 2 brothers, Charles "Bobby" Burton and Seldon Burton and 2 sons in-law, Joshua Means and Charlie Maze.

          Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in the Downs Family Cemetery. Visitation Monday March 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
