Mr. B.F. Alley, Jr., 78, of 1405 Cave Run Lake Road, Salt Lick, passed away Monday January 26, 2009 at Life Care Center of Morehead after an extended illness.
Mr. Alley was born February 5, 1930, the son of the late B.F. and Edith Ellington Alley. He was a farmer, member of Lakeview Community Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife Pauline Sorrell Alley, 3 sons, Rodney Lee Alley and his wife Tata of Albany, Oregon, Richard Kyle Alley of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Randall Dwayne Alley of Dunedin, Florida, 2 grandchildren, and 1 sister, Joyce Morris of Frankfort, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Alley were conducted Friday January 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Community Church with Rev. James Allen officiating. Interment followed in Carey Cemetery in Rowan County. Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick was in charge of arrangements. Contributions in his memory are suggested to Lakeview Community Church.
