Barbara (Perry) Powell

          Mrs. Barbara Perry Powell, 92, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Sunday morning October 27, 2024 at Life Care Center in Morehead, KY.

          Born September 18, 1932, her parents were the late Beckham and Alma Johnson Perry. She was retired as the owner and operator Green’s Restaurant in Salt Lick and was a retired employee of Cowden Mfg.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Minor C. Powell, Jr., 4 sisters: Carolyn Triplett, Betty Feltz, Rosemary Stull and Charlotte Holland and 1 brother: Bobby Crouch.

          Survivors include 1 son: Walter Calvin Powell, of Morehead, KY, 1 brother: Billy Perry of Middletown, OH, 1 sister: Marcella Rose of Frenchburg, KY, a sister in law: Illene Powell of Salt Lick, KY and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Thursday October 31, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Interment will follow in Dickerson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
