Oral Bryan Crouch, 93, of Olympia, KY, passed away Wednesday November 8, 2023 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY after an extended illness.
Born August 28, 1930, he was a son of the late Sonny and Grace Giley Crouch.
Bryan was known for many things during the 93 years he was with us. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War era. After returning home from military service he began working as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Mudlick First Church Of God and enjoyed nothing more getting up on Sunday and singing for the congregation the song that he had been practicing all week. He wasn’t one that sit still for very long, if he wasn’t at the house playing music, you might find him out in his garden tending to his crop. He was always on the go and staying busy. He loved to fish and hunt, the woods were his second home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara Breshear Crouch in 2019, 2 sisters: Frances Flannery and Paulette Conway and 3 brothers: Gene, Dale and Dan Crouch.
Survivors include 2 sons: Denver Crouch and his wife Linda and Doug Crouch and his wife Sandy, 1 daughter: Liz Norris and her husband Mark. Eight grandchildren: Heather Jent, Jani Highley, Kyle Crouch, Casey Beth Lyons, Brooke Allen, Jessica Lykes, Kaitlyn Norris and Jasper Crouch, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 brother: Robert Crouch and 4 sisters: Ruth Vanlandingham, Juel Link, Pam Bowman and Carolyn Dale. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday November 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mudlick First Church Of God with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow next to his wife in the Brashear Family Cemetery. Military Honors will be given at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post #126.
Serving as pallbearers: Kaden Lykes, Alex Crouch, Parker Crouch, Jace Jent, Noah Jent, Zane Allen and Maverick Highley. Honorary pallbearers: Kyle Crouch and Jasper Crouch.
Visitation will be Friday November 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Mudlick First Church Of God.
