Carolyn Johnson

          Carolyn Joann Johnson, 61, of 91 Bypass Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday October 15, 2022.

          She was born May 28, 1961 at Morehead, KY a daughter of the late Elmer Clay Johnson and the late Louise Pergrem Wells. Carolyn was employed in the housekeeping department at Ridgeway Nursing And Rehabilitation Facility in Owingsville, KY.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner, Jeffrey Davis, 1 sister: Clara Sue Smith and 2 brothers: Johnny Johnson and Cecil Daniel Wells.

          Survivors include her 2 daughters: Casey Elaine Johnson (Doug Meuchel) and Karley Jo Davis (Aaron Denton) all of Salt Lick, KY, 1 sister: Audrey Ferrell of Salt Lick, KY, 3 brothers: William “Buzz” Johnson (Paula), Lyndon Johnson both of Salt Lick, KY and Jackie Wells (Sherry) of Owingsville, KY, 3 grandchildren: Andrew Baird, Myah Baird and Cooper Meuchel and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY, with Robert Shane Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Polksville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday October 18, 2022 at the funeral home.

          Serving as pallbearers: Andrew Baird, Timothy Curtis, Johnny Curtis, Zachary Stamper, Matthew Hardin, Doug Meuchel, Toby McCarty and James Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Darvin Crouch.
