Carolyn McLean Omohundro, 76, of 10584 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, passed away Friday November 27, 2009 at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling after an extended illness.
Mrs. Omohundro was born August 26, 1933 in Montgomery Co., the daughter of the late Frank and Thelma Chandler McLean. She was the widow of the late Jack Omohundro who preceded her in death in 2002 and was a retired tax preparer and member of the Salt Lick Christian Church.
Survivors include 3 sons, Rick Omohundro and his wife Nancy of Salt Lick, Terry Omohundro and his wife Debbie of Winchester and Daniel Omohundro of Lexington, 2 sisters, Frances Staton and Lula Chandler both of Mt. Sterling, 1 brother, Charles McClean of Mt. Sterling, 4 grandchildren, Wes Omohundro, Brandon Omohundro, Amanda Omohundro and Amber Omohundro, 1 great-grandchild, Lexie Omohundro and 2 special nieces, Joan Shepherd and Teresa Alexander both of Mt. Sterling. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Buster McLean and Darvin McLean.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 30, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Lakeview Community Church with Rev. James Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM Sunday November 29 at Lakeview Community Church. Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
