Carroll Thomas Otis, 78, of 2991 South Highway 211, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Thursday November 27, 2014 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.
Born December 7, 1935 in Bath County, he was the son of the late Everett and Opal Coyle Otis. He attended Morehead State University and was retired from the Bath County ASCS office after 37 years of service, former Bath County School Board member for 20 years, former Little League baseball and basketball coach and 50 year member of the Salt Lick Lodge #682 F. & A.M.
Survivors include his loving wife, of over 59 years, Evelyn Wills Otis, 1 daughter, Cindy Otis of Salt Lick, KY, 2 grandchildren, Neil Triplett and his wife Mandy of Morehead and Kayla Crouch and her husband Rex of Salt Lick, KY, 3 great-grandsons, Reid, Nash and Case Triplett of Morehead, KY, 2 sisters, Bernetta Finch and her husband Sam of Owingsville, KY and Deanie Catron and her husband Virgil of Berea, KY, special cousin, Jo Anne Coyle of Owingsville, KY, sister-in-law, Maxine Wright of Salt Lick, KY, brother-in-law, Tom Wills and his wife Bonnie of Jeffersonville, KY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell "Mitch" Otis and a brother, Dan Otis.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday December 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Salt Lick Church Of God with Bro. Vernon Lambert and Bro. Jackie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Owingsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday November 30, 2014 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Salt Lick Church Of God.
