Danny Ray Copher

          Danny Ray Copher, 83, of Caney Ave., Salt Lick, KY, passed away Friday May 29, 2026 at his residence.

          He was born April 29, 1943 at Salt Lick, KY a son of the late Christopher and Etta Mae Pergrem Copher. He was retired from Whirlpool Mfg.

          Danny loved the outdoors, hunting, shooting guns and just being outside. In his younger years he loved singing and picking the guitar and the banjo.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Lee Copher.

          Survivors include his wife, Loma Thomas Copher, a daughter, Lisa Williams, 4 sons: Timothy Copher, Greg Copher, Robert Copher (Betty Jo) and Shane Copher (Carmen), a sister, Lois Kingery (Jim), a brother, Conner Copher, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY, with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery.

          Serving as pallbearers: Brandon Copher, Tommy Wetzel, Austin Finch, Dustin Copher, Kahnen Copher, Caden Messer, Hunter Swartz and Cody Willoughby.

          Visitation will be Monday evening, June 1, 2026 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
