Dexter Dale Spurlock, 63, of 410 Fraley Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday April 19, 2014 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.
Born April 8, 1951, he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred Bashford Spurlock. He was a retired employee of Byrd's Chrysler Products, Reeves Lumber Co. and a carpet installer.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha Crump Spurlock, 2 daughters Melania Spurlock (Lucian "Tiger" Allen) and Millie Temple (Brandon), 2 sons, Robert Spurlock (Jackie) and Chris Spurlock (Meranda), 4 grandchildren, Dalton, Deven, Nevaeh and Paisley, a special cousin, Connie Sue Carlson (Marv) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Robbie Gene Spurlock and a grandson, Braden Spurlock.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday April 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lower Salt Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday April 23, 2014 at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim "Tinker" Ray, Larry Campbell, Robert Spurlock, Chris Spurlock, Tiger Allen, Dalton Spurlock, Deven Spurlock and Brandon Temple. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Moore, Roy Byrd, Morgan Wright, Jim Skaggs, Joe Spurlock and Matt Spurlock.
