Donald Ferrell

          Donald Ferrell, 81, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday March 19, 2022 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY.

          Don was born October 14, 1940 at Frenchburg, KY to the late Mason and Merlie Crain Ferrell. He was a logger and was a member of the Salt Lick First Church Of God.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Crouch Ferrell, a son, Donald Dale Ferrell, Sr., a grandson, Donald Dale “DJ” Ferrell, Jr., 2 sisters, Sue Swartz and Billie Sexton, 2 brothers, Richard Ferrell and Thomas Ferrell.

          Survivors include 2 daughters, Beth Begley (Darry) of Morehead, KY and Tracy Trusty (Dean) of Salt Lick, KY, 1 son, Danny Ferrell of Leesburg, FL, 1 sister, Marjorie Thomas of Owingsville, KY, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Salt Lick First Church Of God with Pastor Rob Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Salt Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening March 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Salt Lick First Church Of God.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Salt Lick First Church Of God building fund.

          Serving as pallbearers will be Allan Trusty, Scott Trusty, Dakota Begley, Jim Ferrell, Randy Crouch, Doug Thomas, Lyle Crouch, Jr., Caleb Copher and Robert Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug McCarty, Allan Anderson, Darrell Trusty, Foy Whitaker, Donnie Razor, Chance Ferrell, Brandon Ferrell, DJ Ferrell (In Memory) and his church family.
