Edward Lloyd Fanning, 80, of Dayton, OH and formerly of Salt Lick, passed away Tuesday September 30, 2014 in Dayton.
Born November 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Hubert and Ella Satterfield Fanning. He was a retired high school teacher and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Jett Fanning, 2 daughters, Dotty Sawyers of Dayton, OH and Lora Brown of Atlanta, GA, 1 son, Tony Fanning of Dayton, OH, 2 sisters, Betty Caulkins of New York and Olivia Stephens of Florida, 1 brother, Joe Fanning of Mt. Sterling, KY, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday October 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Polksville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM Friday morning at Powell Funeral Home. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Morehead American Legion Post #126.
