Elbert Jett, 79, of 2773 Mudlick Rd., Salt Lick, KY passed away Monday June 10, 2013 at University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Born October 19, 1933 in Breathitt County, KY the son of the late Wilburn and Nellie Combs Jett. He was a retired sawmill worker and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Betty Moore Jett, 2 sons, David Randall Jett of Ora, Indiana and Richard Allen Jett of Indianapolis, Indiana, 2 sisters, Margaret Fanning of Dayton, Ohio and Wilma Spicer of Jackson, KY, 3 brothers, Wayne Jett of Wolf Co., KY, James Jett of Jackson, KY and Kenneth Jett of Stanton, KY, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Thelma Becraft and 4 brothers, Hargis Jett, Daily Jett, Scott Jett and Oscar Jett.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday June 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Mudlick First Church Of God with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oldfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday June 12 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Mudlick First Church Of God. Powell Funeral Home will be caring for arrangements.
