Eldred "Tiny" McFarland

          Eldred L. “Tiny” McFarland, 78, of 11033 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Monday July 21, 2025 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

          Born May 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Meredith Middleton McFarland. He was retired from construction work and was a member of Grace Gospel Tabernacle in Owingsville, KY

          Tiny was an avid fisherman and deer hunter and was a great supporter of Bath County sports. He was a member of the first Bath County High School Football team in 1964 and was a member of the Bath County Football Hall Of Fame, he was Cave Run Angler Of The Year in 1976. He was also a member of Bluegrass Bass Fishermen and “B.A.S.S.” and participated in the Redman & Hydro Sport Tournament Series.

          Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Nola Jean Adams McFarland, a daughter and her husband: Jeana and Shannon Manley, a son and his wife: Rob and Lisa McFarland, 5 grandchildren: Haley McFarland, Taylor (Baylee) McFarland, Andy McFarland, Clay Manley and Ally Grace Manley, also a sister in law: Sheila Maze.

          Funeral Services will be conducted Friday July 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Midland First Church Of God with Bro. Steve Meadows and Bro. Jim Brandenburg officiating. Interment will follow in Bath County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday July 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the church and Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

          Serving as pallbearers: Steve Swim, Randy Frizzell, James Cochran, Mike Brown, Denver Crouch, Jake Rogers, Chris Jones and Brandon Maze. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
