Elza Charles "Bunk" Kendall, 89, of 6264 South Highway 211, Salt Lick, passed away Monday May 31, 2010 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead after an extended illness.
Mr. Kendall was born December 19, 1920 in Bath County and was the son of the late Luther and Emma Moore Kendall. He was a retired construction worker, WWII Army veteran and attended the Menifee County Church Of Christ. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his wife, Esta Mae Johnson Kendall in 2000 and a brother, Corbitt Kendall in 2009.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Mary Ann Davis and her husband Wes of Salt Lick, 1 grandson, Donnie Davis and his wife Sandy of Salt Lick, 2 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Dara Davis, 2 sisters, Amanda Flora Crouch of Salt Lick and Della Marie Myers of Buffalo, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday June 3, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Imel officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Salt Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday June 2, 2010.
