Ewell Crump

          Ewell Alford Crump, 88, of Adams Road, Owingsville, KY, passed away Thursday morning November 13, 2025 at his residence.

          Born January 3, 1937 in Bath County a son of the late Taylor and Betsy Barber Crump.

          Ewell was retired from A.O. Smith Corp. after 33 years, he was also a farmer and enjoyed fishing and shooting pool.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lucille Crump and Geneva Richmond and 2 brothers, Gene Crump and Howard Crump.

          Survivors include 3 daughters: Lena Reynolds and her husband James, Samantha Spurlock and Eula Copher and her husband Jim Bob, 2 sons, Don Crump and his wife Nancy and Ricky Crump, 2 sisters, Hazel Purvis and Lena Haley, 1 brother, Robert Crump, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

          Serving as pallbearers: Jim Bob Copher, Jamie Copher, Chris Spurlock, Jason Crump, Justin Reynolds and James Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers: Jackie Crump and Tony McKenzie.
