Franklin Hardin

          Franklin D. Hardin, 87, of 428 Fraley Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Monday evening June 3, 2024 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center Morehead, KY.

          Born at Salt Lick, KY on February 2, 1937, a son of the late Walter and Nellie Sands Hardin. He was a retired employee of Hobart Manufacturing in Mount Sterling, KY and attended Lakeview Community Church.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Michelle Hardin in 1991. Also preceding him in death were 7 siblings.

          Survivors include his wife, Sandra Moore Hardin, 3 daughters, Nellie Howard and her husband Vinson, Anna Link and Sue McNabb and her husband Rick, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Dennison officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening June 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

          Serving as pallbearers: Aaron Howard, Taylor Davidson, Joey Copher, Willie Hardin, Ben Green and James McNabb. Honorary pallbearers: Sam Davidson, Vinson Howard, Ewell Cochran, Roger Hardin, Donnie Williams, Mark Copher, Jim Bob Copher, Billy Copher and Alan Hardin.
