Fred Raymond Hartman, 83, of 6555 Preston Road, Owingsville, KY passed away Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Life Care Center in Morehead, KY.
Born June 29, 1929 at Tunkhannock, PA, he was the son of the late Fred and Hazel Barber Hartman. He was formerly of Owego, NY and was a retired carpenter and was formerly a maintenance worker on the "Freedom Train" that traveled across the United States.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Jacqueline Slizewski, Kelly Vought and Kimberly Johnson, 3 sons, Frederick, Eugene and David Hartman, 2 brothers, Lawrence and Francis Hartman, numerous nieces and nephews including Pat Hartman, Wendy Barron, Sandy Burke, Chris Henne, Tim Hartman and Chuck Hartman, 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Fred will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Powell Funeral Home of Salt Lick, KY is caring for arrangements.
