Gail (Adams) Walters

          Gail Walters, 77, of Peasticks Road, Owingsville, KY went to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon May 19, 2022 at University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

          Born January 7, 1945 at Index, KY to the late Amos and Della Havens Adams. She and her late husband Bryson Walters were married December 24, 1962 until his passing less than a year ago on June 25, 2021.

          In addition to her parents and husband of 59 ½ years, she was preceded in death by 1 great-grandson, Kaiden, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

          She was retired from Jockey International and was a member of the Eastland First Church Of God in Mount Sterling, KY. She was a very loving, kind and caring person to everyone. She enjoyed listening to gospel and old country music, decorating her home for holidays, feeding wild birds and loved taking pictures of her children and grandchildren…..the walls of her home are a testimony to that love.

          Survivors include 3 children: James Walters and his wife Cathi, Tim Walters and his wife Lisa and Amanda Martin and her husband David, all of Owingsville, KY, 1 sister: Gaye Tackett and her husband George of Jeffersonville, KY, 6 grandchildren: Timothy Walters, Jr., Amy Anderson, Travis Walters, Christopher Walters, Hannah Easton and Haiden Martin, 5 great-grandchildren: Aaron Sparks, Braylon Walters, Blade Walters, Akeelah Hatton and Presleigh Walters. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Sunday May 22, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Eastland First Church Of God, 1706 Old Owingsville Rd., Mt. Sterling, KY, with Rev. James Hendrix officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the church.
