Geraldine Green Armitage, 79, of 813-B Hawkins Dr., Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away Saturday September 3, 2011 at Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, KY.
She was born December 29, 1931 at Salt Lick, KY, the daughter of the late Turner and Hannah Mary Sorrell Green and was a homemaker and member of the Queen Street Christian Fellowship Church in Mt. Sterling.
Survivors include 1 son, Danny Armitage and his wife Donna of Mt. Sterling, KY, 1 daughter, Debbie Shrout and her husband Danny of Paris, KY, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday September 6 at 2:00 PM at the Queen Street Christian Fellowship Church, 10 North Queen Street, Mt. Sterling with James Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Bath County Memorial Gardens at Salt Lick. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday September 5 at Powell Funeral Home at Salt Lick and on Tuesday at the church, 1 hour prior to the services.
