Hugh Karrick, 102, of 1683 South Highway 211, Salt Lick, passed away Saturday March 5, 2011 at Ridgeway Nursing And Rehabilitation Facility in Owingsville.
Born December 30, 1908 in Bath County, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Mary Warner Karrick. He was a retired farmer, former member of the National Guard and attended the Salt Lick Christian Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Frazier Karrick in 2001.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Janet Skaggs and Donna Barber, both of Salt Lick, 1 son, Joe Karrick of Preston, 1 sister, Virginia Wheeler of Morehead, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. George Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday March 7 at the funeral home.
