James Brooks Brown, Jr.

          James Brooks “Jim Bob” Brown, Jr., 50, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Tuesday August 13, 2024 at UK-St. Claire Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

          Born December 13, 1973, he was the son of Sharon King and the late James Brown, Sr.

          Survivors include his daughter: Bethany Brown, his mother: Sharon King, his step-mother: Lottie Brown, 4 sisters: Carol Ann Wheeland, Tammy Manley, Genie Hardin and Sandra Saunders, 4 grandchildren and a special step-aunt: Oakie Reffitt.

          In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister: Norma Jo Brown, a step-brother: Thomas Withrow, a step-sister: Tina Withrow and a brother in law: Stevie Hardin.

          A memorial service will be held Monday August 19, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY. His family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM until service time Monday at the funeral home.
