Mr. James W. "Jimmy" Reeves, 95, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2014.
Born September 25, 1918 at Salt Lick, KY, he was the son of the late Russell and Grace Eldridge Reeves. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, retired local business owner, civic leader and an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robbie Reeves in 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Darrell Reeves, 1 daughter, Jan (Starkey) Ray, 1 son, Jim Russell (Connie) Reeves, 2 step-daughters, Sheila Maze and Nola Jean (Eldred) McFarland, 1 step-son, Rick (Brandi) Adams, 5 grandchildren, Brent (Natalia) Reeves, Barry Reeves, Michael (Amy) Ray, Tyler Reeves, Blake (Alecia) Reeves, 7 step-grandchildren, Brandon (Donna) Maze, Jeana (Shannon) Manley, Rob (Lisa) McFarland, Rick Adams, Jr., Justin (Emily) Adams, Jeanette (Matt) Aley and Jason Adams.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday January 18, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Salt Lick Christian Church with Calvin Lindell officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until service time Saturday, at the church. Powell Funeral Home of Salt Lick will be caring for arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Dickerson Cemetery or your favorite charity in Mr. Reeves' memory.
