James Vinson Howard

          James Vinson Howard, 64, of 3543 South Highway 211, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Sunday morning July 6, 2025 at UK-St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.

Born August 13, 1960 at Morehead, KY, he was the son of the late James B. and Merley McNabb Howard. He was a retired auto mechanic and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife: Nellie Hardin Howard, 2 daughters: Chrissy Hardin and her husband Allen and Carrie Howard, 1 son: Aaron Howard (Libby Smith), 2 granddaughters: Brookelynn Hardin and Caleigh Robinson, 1 sister: Twila Hardin and her husband Tommy and 2 special friends, who were like brothers: Russell Carter and Tom Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

          Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday July 9, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in White Sulphur Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
