Jerry Allen McKenzie, 73, of Hilltop Estates, Morehead, KY, passed away Friday morning November 7, 2025 at UK-St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY.
Born August 30, 1952 in Rowan County, KY he was a son of the late Rev. Guy and Joyce McKinney McKenzie. He was a retired rural route mail carrier, was an outdoorsman and hunter, and was of the Church Of God faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny McKenzie and a daughter, Meredith Lynn Kissick.
Survivors include a son, Terry Allen McKenzie, a sister: Penny Stockdale and her husband Ronnie, 3 brothers: Darrell McKenzie and his wife Donna, Joe McKenzie and his wife Ginnie and Forrest “Frosty” McKenzie and his wife Chandy, 4 grandchildren: Justin McKenzie, Teisha McKenzie, Dalton McKenzie and Makenzie Kissick, 3 great-grandchildren: Kaden Hutson, Aurora Hall and Elsie Knipp. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday November 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Midland First Church Of God with Rev. Aaron Conn and Bro. Bobby Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
Serving as pallbearers: Bobby Purvis, Dennis McKenzie, Tim Terry, Albert Kidd, Ralph Caudill and Richard Caskey.
