Obituary

          Joseph Scott Shrout, 62, of Moore's Ferry Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday morning, December 10, 2022 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.

          Born March 5, 1960 at Mount Sterling, KY, he was a son of the late Gene Rexford and Janice Snedegar Shrout. He most recently had worked for Swartz Mowing.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Randall Shrout and David Shrout.

          Survivors include 2 daughters: Ashley (Robert Tyler) Bennett of Salt Lick, KY and Taylor (Maverick) Highley of California, 2 sons: Robert (Lora) Shrout Of Flemingsburg, KY and Donnie Shrout of Owingsville, KY, 1 sister: Marcia (Jim) Stamm of Salt Lick, KY, 9 grandchildren, 2 uncles: J.B. Snedegar and Larry (Marilyn) Barber all of Owingsville, KY, several nieces, nephews and his beloved cat, Sampson.

          A memorial service will be held Saturday December 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Moore's Ferry Church Of Christ with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

          Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY is assisting the family with arrangements.
