Joyce Meadows (Kennedy) McClurg

          Joyce Kennedy Meadows McClurg, 80, of Hwy. 211 South, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday evening May 29, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital, Mount Sterling, KY.

          Born March 9, 1939 at Detroit, MI she was the daughter of the late Willie D. and Nancy Myrtle McNabb Kennedy. She was a nurse, homemaker and member of the Salt Lick First Church Of God.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otice Meadows, a son, Russell Meadows and a grandson, Kevin Lance McCarty.

          Survivors include 2 daughters, Melody Lambert and her husband Gary of Morehead, KY and Dawn McClurg of Salt Lick, KY, 4 sons, John Meadows, Harley Meadows and Steve Meadows and his wife Robyn, all of Salt Lick, KY and Derreck McClurg and wife Jessica of Chattanooga, TN, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several cousins, including special cousins Lois and Eddie Collins and Johnny Wages.

          Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Salt Lick First Church Of God on Maple Street, Salt Lick, KY, with Bro. Steve Meadows and Bro. Vernon Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Dickerson Cemetery, Salt Lick, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time Saturday June 1, 2019 at the church. Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY is caring for arrangements.
