Obituary
Judy Sharon Burchett Jewell, 72, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at University Of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
Born February 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Theodore E. and Margaret Staton Burchett.
Judy retired from St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY as chief unit secretary and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Thomas “Tom” Burchett, a special best friend: Karen Conn, 2 brothers in law: Allen Jewell and Bobby Jewell, 2 sisters-in-law: Jane Jewell and Judy Jewell Burchett.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Jewell, 2 sons: Blake Jewell and Brian (Tara Jewell) Jewell, 5 grandchildren: Connor (Janalea Michael) Jewell, Maison Jewell, Kylan Jewell, Nyoka Lightner and Taylor Reed, 3 great-grandchildren: Aiden and Tatum Lightner and Conner Reed, special friends: Diane Helton and Mary Ruth and John Staton, nieces and nephews: Jordan and Carol Burchett, Tony and Lisa Price, Kathy and Rick Cole, Tammy Nivens and Larry and Alicia Jewell, brothers-in-law: Billy Ray Jewell and Doug (Charlotte) Jewell, sisters-in-law: Carolyn Fulton, Glenda Lansdale, Connie Sue Smith and Ella Francis Jewell, special cousins: Deborah Armstrong, Butch Armstrong and Tonya Whittington. Also surviving are many other nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday May 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Lakeview Community Church with Rev. Eddie Dennison officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday May 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at Lakeview Community Church.
