Kayla Gene May, 22, of 6495 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday March 24, 2021 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY following a brief illness.
Kayla was born at Logan, West Virginia June 12, 1998 the daughter of James Arville May and Theresa Robinson Hatfield of Salt Lick, KY. She had attended Maysville Community And Technical College, was a graduate of Bath County High School (2016) where she was active in band, 4-H, F.F.A., gaming club, art club, dance and cheerleading and Diamond H Saddle club. She was a member of Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents, James Arville May and Theresa Robinson Hatfield, 2 brothers, James Michael May (Brittany) and Matthew John May, her paternal grandmother, Logene McHale, maternal grandmother, Paulette Robinson and step-grandmother Christy May, 3 nephews, 1 niece and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 27, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
