Larry Dan Staton, 77, of 472 White Oak Road, Owingsville, KY, passed away Friday May 21, 2021 at his residence.
Born March 31, 1944 at Olympia, KY a son of the late Melvin Staton and the late Grace Crouch Cantrell.
Larry was an entrepreneur and “jack of all trades” who enjoyed listening to music, watching the television show “Gold Rush” and talking on the CB radio. His CB radio handle was “Paint Man”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Staton and a brother, Curtis J. Staton.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah McCarty Staton, a daughter, Veronica Helton and her husband David of Olympia, KY, 2 sons, Larry Joe Staton and his wife Bridgitte of Olympia, KY and Patrick Staton of Owingsville, KY 12 grandchildren including a special grandson, Kendal Staton who lived with him, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Phyllis Sue Pergrem of Olympia, KY, 1 brother, Phillip Staton and his wife Barbara of Olympia, KY and a special little friend, Turner Everhart.
Visitation will be Monday May 24, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY.
