Mrs. Leola Doris Woliver DeHart, 102, of Lower Licking Rd., Morehead, passed away Sunday September 26, 2010 at her daughter's residence on Lower Licking Road.
Mrs. DeHart was born August 29, 1908 at New Haven, CT the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Angie Nora Tyler Woliver. She was the widow of the late Roy V. DeHart whom she married on May 25, 1933 in Honolulu, HI. She was a former employee of the Big Store and Save The Children Federated Store and was a member of the Slaty Point Baptist Church for many years and a former member of the Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Judith Ann Thomas and Shirley Arleen Wages, both of Morehead, 2 sons, Thomas Allen DeHart of Morehead and John T. DeHart of Independence, KY, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers.
Funeral services for Mrs. DeHart will be conducted Wednesday September 29, 2010 at the Slaty Point Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rusty Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 28, 2010 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick.
Pallbearers will be Wes Thomas, Chris Thomas, John DeHart, Jr., Lee Wages, Randy DeHart and Tony DeHart, Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Council, Edward Whitt, Kevin Jones, Thomas Caudill, Herbert Jukes and George Woliver, III.
