Lester Jay Hunt, 77, of 1874 Mudlick Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Sunday August 21, 2011 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Born November 27, 1933 at Salt Lick, KY, the son of the late Johnny and Ada Conn Hunt. He was a retired mechanic.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Peggy Johnson, Barbara Hunter and Samantha Hunt all of Indiana, 2 sons, Lewis Hunt of Indiana and Randall Hunt of Salt Lick, 6 sisters, Geraldine Rhoda of Indiana, Doris Romine of Minnesota, Martha Crump of Salt Lick, Brenda Horsley of Owingsville, Wanda Bragg of Owingsville and Rhonda Gail Knox of Indiana, 5 brothers, Edward Hunt of Alabama, Lawrence Hunt of Salt Lick, Donnie Hunt of Indiana, Fairley Hunt of Salt Lick and Elmer Hunt of Salt Lick, special friend, Sue Sands of Salt Lick, his former wife and mother of his children, Sue Parr of Indiana, 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Howard and 3 sisters, Margaret Wills, Garnetta Egolf and Gladys Rae Hunt.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick with Rev. Willard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Salt Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
