Lonnie Davis

            Lonnie Davis, Jr., 55 of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday November 30, 2019 at his home after an extended illness.

            Lonnie was born February 8, 1964 at Xenia, Ohio to Linda Jent Kelly of Morehead, KY and the late Lonnie Davis.

            He married the mother of his children, Sherri Roberts Spurlock of Salt Lick, KY on November 29, 1982, and though they parted ways they still remained special friends.

Lonnie enjoyed working outdoors and was a heavy equipment operator for most of his career. He was known for his work ethic, positive energy and contagious smile and laugh. He loved spending time with childhood friends, hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his children and grandsons, who will miss him immensely.

            In addition to his mother and former wife, he is survived by 2 children, Casey Razor and her husband John of Owingsville, KY and Caleb Davis of Salt Lick, KY, 3 grandsons, Clay Razor, Cole Razor and Cade Razor all of Owingsville, KY, 1 sister, Cindy Wallace and her husband Doug of Mount Sterling, KY, 2 brothers, Ronnie Davis and his wife Debbie of Salt Lick, KY and Bruce Davis and his wife Barb of Morehead, KY, a special niece, Leah Kelly and several other nieces and nephews.

            In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a special aunt, Jane Jent and 2 brothers, Terry Davis and Lee Kelly.

            Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday December 3, 2019 at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY with Rev. Greg Crouch and Rev. Sean Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Owingsville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Tuesday December 3, 2019 at the funeral home.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in Lonnie’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
