Mada (Wescott) Poston

          Mada Florence Poston, 76, of Mulberry Lane, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Friday evening May 29, 2020 at Ridgeway Nursing And Rehabilitation Facility in Owingsville, KY.

          Born in Rowan County, KY May 14, 1944 to the late Virgil and Madeline Sorrell Wescott, she was a homemaker and was a retired seamstress with Cowden Mfg., Carhart and Big Yank.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estill E. Poston, a son in law, Greg Binion, 1 sister, Shasta Conn and a half-brother, Forrest Wescott.

          Survivors include 1 daughter, Teresa Binion of Salt Lick, 2 granddaughters, Jessica (Lonnie) Collins of Morehead, KY and Ashlei (Jeremy) Gambill of Salt Lick, KY, 5 great-grandchildren, Austin Clark, Joseph Collins, Leah Collins, Adam Whitt and Olivia Collins, 1 brother, Terry Wescott of Louisville, KY, 3 sisters, Rita Wescott of Lexington, KY, Dorthula Alderson of Morehead, KY and Danica Stamper of Morehead, KY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

          Following Covid-19 restrictions and regulations, a family visitation and funeral service will be held Tuesday June 2, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM with service following at 1:00 PM at Slaty Point Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY is caring for arrangements.
