Margaret Staton Burchett, 92, of Salt Lick, passed away Sunday August 29, 2010 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
Born July 14, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Willie Clay and Myrtle Karrick Staton. She was the widow of the late Ted Burchett and was retired from the grocery business that her and her late husband operated in Salt Lick for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Thomas Burchett in 2001.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Judy Jewell and her husband Rodney of Salt Lick, 1 daughter-in-law, Judy Burchett of Salt Lick, 4 grandchildren, Carol Burchett, Blake Jewell and his wife Christy, Brian Jewell and his wife Becky and Jordan Burchett and his wife Tanya. 8 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday September 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Hedricks Community Church with Bro. Randall Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 9 PM Tuesday August 31 at the Hedricks Community Church.
