Mr. Owen Kiser, 92, of Salt Lick, KY, widower of Maxine Kiser, passed away Tuesday January 2, 2024 at Saint Joseph Hospital, Mount Sterling.
Born at Whitesburg, KY June 9, 1931 he was a son of the late Emitt and Ada Tyree Kiser. Owen was a retired truck driver and minister and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War era. He was a member of Grace Gospel Tabernacle in Owingsville, KY and was a member of the Bath County Chapter of Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his parents and wife, Owen was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons: James Kiser of Olympia, KY and John Kiser of Clyde, OH, a brother: Ray Kiser of Waco, KY, a nephew: Billy Paul Kiser of Jeffersonville, KY, an uncle: Clifford Tyree of Tiffin, OH. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday January 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY with funeral services immediately following at 6:00 PM being officiated by Bro. Steve Meadows.
Burial will be Sunday afternoon January 7, 2024 at Burton Hill Cemetery, Jeremiah, KY (Letcher County).
