Robert Crouch

          Robert Layton Crouch, 96, of 6179 South Highway 211, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Thursday September 25, 2025 at Morgan County A.R.H., West Liberty, KY.

          Born in Bath County February 26, 1929, he was a son of the late Sonny and Grace Gilley Crouch. He was a member of the Upper Salt Lick Church Of Christ and was retired from the Kentucky Department Of Transportation after 30+ years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting for wild mushrooms and digging for ginseng. He enjoyed gardening and building rustic furniture.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Edna Mae Poston Crouch in 2021, sisters: Frances Flannery and Paulette Conway, brothers: Gene Crouch, Dale Crouch, Dan Crouch, Bryan Crouch and Billy S. Crouch.

          Survivors include his daughter: Karen Garrett and her husband Robert of East Fork, sisters: Ruth Vanlandingham, Juel Link and her husband Clifton, Caroline Dale and Pam Bowman and her husband Bob, grandchildren: Valerie Renee’ Warner and Robert Matthew Garrett and many nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Monday September 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Relzda McNabb officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Monday until service time at 2:00 PM.

          Serving as pallbearers: Denver Crouch, Scotty Crouch, Greg Donaldson, Mike Botts, Gary Emery, Lyle Crouch, Jr. and Dean Trusty. Honorary pallbearers: All of his many nieces and nephews.
