Robert Earl Highley, 80, of 6405 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Monday March 4, 2013 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Born December 12, 1932 at Salt Lick, KY, he was the son of the late Wildie and Myrtle Sutton Highley and was a retired carpenter and U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, John Highley of Salt Lick and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Alma Razor, Gladys Shrout, Pauline Pettit, Margie Downs and Marie Highley and 4 brothers, John Paul "Buck" Highley, James Russell Highley, Edward Highley and Stanley Myers.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday March 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hedrick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday March 7 at the funeral home.
