Rocky Lane Flannery

          Rocky Lane Flannery, 69, of Owingsville, KY, passed away Tuesday October 15, 2024 at Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY, after a courageous fight with cancer.

          Born July 2, 1955 he was a son of the late Arlie and Frances Crouch Flannery. He was a former school bus driver with Bath County Schools. Rocky loved to fish and hunt, but most of all, he enjoyed trading and finding a good bargain or a “Good ole piece” as he would say.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Maggie” Flannery in 2007 and a niece, Rena Kay Flannery.

          Survivors include his 3 brothers and their wives: Mitchell and Becky Flannery of Columbia City, IN, Rudy and Phyllis Flannery of Nicholasville, KY and Steven and Linda Flannery of Olympia, KY. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Monday October 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY with Bro. Tony Belcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Griggs Cemetery, Olympia, KY. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

          In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be given to the funeral home, to assist with expenses.
