Obituary
Ronald Lakin Downs, Sr., 80, of Spring Hollow Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday morning July 12, 2023 at his residence.
Born November 26, 1942 at Salt Lick, KY, he was a son of the late Jess and Oakie Norris Downs. He was a retired A.O. Smith employee and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Ann Burton Downs.
Survivors include 7 daughters: Jennifer Parks of Kansas City, MO, Melissa Moyer (Brett) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Rachel Maze (Keith) of Owingsville, KY, Mona Anderson (Brian) Salt Lick, KY, Ann Wilson (Charles) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Ausundra Downs of Winchester, KY and Sarah Downs (Russell Purvis) of Salt Lick, KY, 2 sons: Ronald Lakin Downs, Jr. (Kiara) of Salt Lick, KY and Mylon Downs (Ashley) of Jeffersonville, KY, 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in Downs Family Cemetery, Spring Hollow Rd. Salt Lick, KY.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home
