Roy Don Baker, 67, of 272 Eagle Drive, Morehead, KY, passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at his residence.
Born September 10, 1945 at Ardmore, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Oran Boyce and Grace Parr Baker.
He was a retired general contractor, former professional rodeo cowboy, former member of the Galt Lodge #267 F.&A.M. in Galt, CA and was a member and deacon with the Farmers Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Caroline Murdoch Baker, 2 sons, Shaun Baker of Elk Grove, CA and Lance Baker and his wife Elisabeth of Salt Lick, KY, 1 sister, Linda Gayle Smith of Jewell, Iowa and 5 grandchildren, Elisabeth Camille Baker, Ryan Roy Baker, Laura Emalene Baker, Katherine Adelle Baker and Abigail Jean Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Farmer's Christian Church with Pastor Bill Teegarden officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time, Saturday morning at the church. Masonic Rites will be performed by Salt Lick Lodge #682 F.&A.M. immediately prior to the funeral service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in his memory to St. Claire Hospice and Palliative Care, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351.
