Russell Glen Howard, 69, of 175 Black Sulphur Road, Salt Lick, KY passed away Wednesday October 2, 2013 at his residence.
Born November 5, 1943 at Crockett, KY, he was the son of the late Shafter and Anna Ethel Ferguson Howard. He was a retired supervisor with Morehead State University Physical Plant, was the owner and operator of Creekside Leather in Salt Lick and was a Kentucky Colonel and member and Past Master of Salt Lick Lodge #682 F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue Caudill Howard, 1 daughter, Mona Annette Conn and her husband James of Morehead, 2 sons, James Russell Howard of Salt Lick and Steven Edward Howard and his wife Cindy of Berea, KY, 7 grandchildren, J.D. Howard, Kiki Howard, Ryan Howard, Christopher Howard, Stefanie Howard, Benjamin Howard and James Knight, 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Riley, 1 brother, J.B. Howard of Salt Lick, KY, 2 sisters, Betty Lou Conley of Crockett, KY and Edna Wilson of Frenchburg, KY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Howard.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning October 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick with Elder Bob Caudill and Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery in Morehead. Visitation will be Friday October 4, 2013 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7:30 PM Friday evening at the funeral home by Salt Lick Lodge #682 F.&A.M.
