Shirley Clyda Whisman Banks, 56, of 1708 Mudlick Road, Salt Lick, passed away Friday April 20, 2012 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.
Born in Wolfe County, KY March 17, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Cortis and Wilma Peyton Whisman. She was a homemaker and had attended the Mudlick Church Of God.
Survivors include her husband, James Banks, 6 daughters, Christian Church, Adrian Spelling, Danielle Smith and Tristan Smith all of Salt Lick, Paula Whisman of Preston and Stacy Whisman of Owingsville, 2 sons, Jason Whisman and Cody Smith both of Salt Lick, 2 sisters, Nancy Crump of Owingsville and Sandra Garcia of Texas, 4 brothers, Asa Whisman and Denzil Whisman both of Cincinnati, OH, Randy Whisman and Chris Whisman both of Cynthiana, KY. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Donna Roberts and Paula Whisman.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday April 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home in Salt Lick. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Cynthiana, KY. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday April 22 at the funeral home.
